5 Steps to a Beautiful Mind

A beautiful mind must, by universal spiritual law, create a beautiful life. Here are 5 steps:
1. Attention: : pay attention to your thoughts. Are they what you want to create more of?
2. Purification: Let go of thoughts that discourage, disturb, diminish you. Stop the moment you catch yourself.
3. Identification: Fill the vacuum with any positive, life-affirming thought. Identify with a divine quality---love, joy, peace, beauty, courage...
4. Magnification: Thank God for helping change your mind; feed the good thoughts and feelings with more like them.
5. Action: Take positive action; find a way to express something positive...write a gratitude list, make a phone call to a friend; tell someone how much you appreciate them; do a good deed.

Practice makes perfect.

God's Provision

"The Gulf Stream will flow through a straw provided the straw is aligned with the Gulf Stream and not at corss purposes with it." Annie Lamott

Most amazing God, whose breathtaking power parted the sea of troubles for the Israelites and whose magnanimous generosity fed their hungry souls in the desert, come now and swallow up my doubts and fears, my stress and struggles in Your unfathomable love. I cast my burdens to You now in trust that You will deliver me into freedom.

One with God through Prayer

"As we come ito the presence of God with prayer, holding the prayer steadily in mind and consciously unifying our mind with the mind of God, we are aware of the soundlessness of God's word as it weaves itself in and out through the whole soul and body consciousness, illumining, redeeming and restoring us." Charles Fillmore

Lord, let my heart be aligned with Your Love today. Enliven and encourage me throughout he day. Give me the courage to say what needs to be said. Give me the faith to take action on my hopes and dreams.

The Creative Power of Prayer

It's been said that prayer makes one master in the realm of creative ideas. Prayer connects us to the Creative Source.

God of creative elegance, give me a passion for the life You have given me and for the tasks You have put in my hands. Give me a passion for the important things, the beautiful things and the meaningful things. I thank You now for making these the rhythm of my joy and my peace.

New Beginnings: You Gotta Have Hope

Finish this sentence: There is a person inside of me who wants to......
Then consider what fulfilling that desire would take. Probably somewhere in the list "hope" would show up. If not, it will need to. Why? Because whether it's a matter of fulfilling our desires or overcoming a difficulty or disappointment, hope is the fuel for moving forward.

Consider my friend Daniel. He and Kate, the love of his life, had finally decided that their careers, which has kept them 2000 miles apart for six year, had to take a back seat to their love for one another. Kate found a job in California and on New Year's Eve Daniel proposed and slipped a ring on her finger. New beginning! It seemed like the hope that had flickered but never died had at last been fulfilled. It was short-lived, though. On New Year's Day Daniel was out for a bike ride and was struct by a car. The driver left Daniel for dead.

Hope was hard to come by those next twelve months as Daniel struggled for life--for breath.
His body was broken and often it seemed that his spirit was too. Kate came to his bedside daily. She was tireless in speaking words of hope in Daniel's ear as he lay in an induced coma.
One year and 37 surgeries later, hope won out. Daniel miraculously walked out of the hospital. Keep the fire of hope burning!

Our Need To Let God

The power to let go is more potent than we might at first think. With a spiritual mind set enfolded in a prayer for release, it, sometimes quickly, some slowly, erases from our mind and heart what no longer serves us.

We can let go of troubling emotions and self-defeating thoughts. The Keys:
1. Notice the thought and where it will take you if you continue.
2. Give it to God--The Wisdom and Love of God know what to do with it.
3. Replace it with a positive thought--like something you are grateful for; something that makes you smile.
4. Don't let the negative thought or emotion back in. Close the door of your mind on it.

The Serenity Prayer is perfect for this practice: God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can (myself and my own thoughts), and the wisdom to know the difference.

love that lasts

UNCONQUERABLE LOVE GROWS FROM UNREASONABLE LOVE. Unreasonable love comes from the Source, God. It is the kind for grows everytime we overcome fear, resentment, making others wrong and withholding our love for any reason. The gifts include a sense of freedom and joy and a peace that passes all understanding.
1. Is there somewhere I’ve been withholding my love? Give it
2. Is there something I have left unsaid, that if I said it I would be freed up in my capacity to love? Say it
3. Is there a promise I’ve made to myself that I have not kept? Do it
4. Has someone broken a promise to me or not given me what I want and I am holding them hostage in my heart? Unlock it.
5. If I loved myself and the divine in me in an unreasonable way, how would I be? Be it.
WHAT IS NATUREAL IS FOR HUMAN BEINGS TO CONTRIBUTE TO ONE ANOTHER AND TELL PEOPLE HOW MUCH WE LOVE THEM.
1. Get UNREASONABLE: Go out and love yourself & others this week

living an abundant life

"True riches and real prosperity are in the understanding that there is an omnipresent substance from which all things come and that by the action of our minds we can unify ourselves with that substance so that the manifestations that come from it will be in line with our desires and needs." Charles Fillmore

Dear God, I put my day in Your hands. I know that Your plan is a good one and I thnk You now for opening the door to wonderful experiences, right direction and a day of joy and fulfillment.

The Hope: An Invincible Spirit

As the Easter Season comes to a close, it's a good time to reflect on the reason for the season. The promise of getting into the Lenten practices is a personal resurrection from some sense of lack or limit; from some sense of being held back. It is the promise of a renewal of hope in the great possibilities for your life.
The practices are simple but not easy. They take rigorous discipline--the discipline of taking dominion of our thoughts, words and actions. The framework is "fast & feast". We are to fast from all thoughts, words and actions that diminish our vitality and sense of well-being. We are to feast on all that brings joy to our hearts, meaningful purpose to our lives, and fires our fondest hopes and highest dreams.
Forty days ....only only 5 left. Make it count.

gratitude

Gratitude is the great healer and multiplier of good. The high vibration of grateful thoughts, words and action positively affects the biochemistry and hence promotes healing. It also heals the mind and protects it against negativity and resentments.

The more we express gratitude, the more we feel grateful, the more the Universe (God) gives us to be grateful for. The Universe is reciprocal.

Powerful Practice: Make a gratitude list daily--taking nothing for granted.

No Stress

Stress is a mess and clouds the mind from seeing solutions. Miracles happen in the present moment. Stress either drags the past into the present or projects worst case scenarios in the future. Living in the now moment in faith that a positive possibility awaits discovery initiates the release of stress--a spinning mind and turbulent gut.

Simple prayers bring you back to the now moment. Just saying the word "God" over and over calms the stormy internal seas. An inspiring affirmation is a perfect replacement for stressing kinds of thoughts.

It is true--change your mind, change your life.

The Power of Understanding

Spiritual understanding is the result of having learned and applied the spiritual laws of the universe to the ups and downs of daily life. It comes from lessons learned and looking through the circumstances of life with the thought "what is God wanting me to know and do with this?"

Here are some powerful affirmations:
I set my intention on knowing and practicing the Truth that sets me free.
God reveals to me all that needs to be revealed so that I can do what needs to be done by me.
I know what to do and I do it.
My mind is focused, my heart is open and my direction is clear.

True Understanding

It's been said that there are two ways to get understanding. One is by following divine guidance and the other is to go blindly ahead and learn by hard experience. Divine guidance comes in moments of openness and prayerful attention.

Try these affirmations:
God reveals to me all that needs to be revealed so that I can do what needs to be done by me.

I know what to do and I do it.

My mind is focused, my heart is open and my direction is clear.

prosperity laws

True prosperity begins with a prosperity consciousness and there are universal, spiritual laws that govern the manifestation of prosperity in all of its forms.
Law 1: The Law of Giving & Receiving. Begin by giving what you want to receive. Get out of your comfort zones.

Prayer- Dear God, I see Your abundance all around me--the star-filled sky, the astonishing variety and beauty of the earth and human beings. Inventiveness and creativity are evidenced everywhere. Let me see such abundant and beautiful possibilities for me life. Help me keep my focus on giving to life, trusting the life will return good to me, pressed down, shaken together and running over.

Affirmation: The more I give to life, the more life gives to me.

Three things that eliminate stress

I was heard a renouned doctor say that all disease is brought on by stress. At the very minimal stress is uncomfortable. Beyond that it blocks our imagination from generating creative solutions.
Three things that dissolve stress:
1. Live in the now moment. Stay out of imagining worst case scenarious. That is living in the future. Stay out of the problem. That is living in the past.
2. Pray for guidance and then let go of the problem.
3. Find someone to help or some way to be in service.

Prayer
God of dazzling abundance and infinite generosity and goodness, create in me a grateful hearet, one that trusts in the beautiful possibilities for my life even when I can't see them. Create in me a big heart so taht I can appreciate all the good that fills my days. Creat in me a confident spirit, confident enough to give thanks for everything--the difficulties that grow me, the blessings that await me, and all the little things I take for granted.

Affirmation
I give thanks for all my good and my good multiplies.
